Dry-cleaners’ and Launderers’ Association of India (DLAI) extends support
VIS Group in association with the Dry-cleaners’ and Launderers’ Association of India (DLAI) is all set for the 6th edition of the Laundrex India Expo, scheduled to be held from February 23 to 25, 2022 at the India Exposition Mart, Greater Noida.
With an exponential growth of 700% over the last five years, Laundrex India is now looked upon across Asia and Europe as an exclusive platform to make inroads into the fast-growing Indian market.
This is the first time Laundrex India is being organized in North India, one of the major hubs of the dry-cleaning and laundry industry in India, after five successful shows in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. In this sixth edition, Laundrex India is expected to almost double in size.
The Expo has received an overwhelming response with more than 50% of the stalls already booked in just the first week of booking. As one of the exhibitors put it, “We have not participated in any other exhibition, even if it gives us 50-60% returns, as we want 100% results which we get through Laundrex India Expo.”
All set to meet the requirements of the exhibitors and visitors, VIS Group has made a well-planned visitor plan to invite actual buyers to the Expo.
“The immediate challenges faced by the industry can be addressed by the industry coming together”, said Raghav Arora, President of DLAI during the planning meeting with the VIS team.
“A focussed Expo & Conference on the laundry industry after a year’s gap will bring back cheer among laundry owners as well as many startup entrepreneurs, who deferred their plans due to the pandemic; they will get an opportunity to revive their entry plans”, said Srinivas Rao, General Secretary, DLAI during the planning meeting with the Laundrex India Team.
“Live demonstrations, competitions and India Best Practice Awards will liven up the event. We are expecting positive participation from visitors to make the event a big success” says Kaushal Agarwal, Treasurer, DLAI.
At a recent event, Dr Jitendra Singh (Honourable Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Science & Technology, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office) and Smt Meenakshi Lekhi (Honourable Minister of State of External Affairs and Culture) shared the podium with Gulshan Narang, Sr VP-DLAI and Kaushal Agrawal and Kunal Malhotra, co-members of DLA. The grievances of the laundry industry, and the opportunities it offers were discussed.
Smt Lekhi even shared her personal contact details and promised to meet again in the future.
