Quick Clean, a leading provider of professional linen management solutions in India, has announced a significant milestone: a ₹500 million ($6 million) funding round led by Alkemi Growth Capital and Blue Ashva Capital, with an additional ₹100 million credit line from Venture Debt companies.
Founded in 2010 by CA Anshul Gupta and his brother Ankur, Quick Clean’s journey began with the introduction of a coin-operated laundromat. The Gurugram-based company evolved into the nation’s leading importer and distributor of commercial laundry equipment, securing partnerships with global technology leaders like Electrolux Professional, Trevil and Rennai.
Achieving 45 franchises within the first year and expanding to 36 cities across India, Quick Clean now boasts a team of over 750 professionals and an annual recurring revenue of ₹800 million.
India’s hospitality and healthcare sectors are experiencing rapid growth, with projections indicating a tripling of star hotel rooms (currently 275,000) and hospital beds (currently 1.45 million) in the next decade. Recognizing the critical role of linen management in these industries, Quick Clean is committed to elevating hygiene and quality standards.
Alka Goel, Founder of Alkemi Growth Capital, emphasized the importance of hygienic laundry solutions in healthcare. With rising healthcare demands and an increasing emphasis on safety protocols, the focus on this sector is driven by the urgent need for advanced, hygienic laundry solutions that can significantly reduce hospital-acquired infections. This partnership will not only foster innovative practices in cleanliness and efficiency but also contribute to the overall improvement of patient care in India’s healthcare system.
Quick Clean’s impressive track record includes the installation of over 3,000 machines across 120+ five-star hotels and leading healthcare chains, including Taj, Marriott, Fairmont, ITC, Radisson, AIIMS, and PMCH. The company has processed over 600 million kilogramme of linen, saved 210 million litres of water (equivalent to the daily water requirement of 1.5 million households), and reduced 60 million kilogramme of carbon emissions (equivalent to the absorption capacity of 2.7 million trees for a full year).
With this new funding, Quick Clean is poised to further its mission of raising hygiene standards, enhancing sustainability, and leading India’s professional linen management revolution.
