Here comes some good news for railway commuters who are fed up of doling out money to drink clean and safe water. Under a new scheme that would run under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, the Ministry of Railways will now make available free drinking water to them at the railway stations 24/7.
The supplied water would be provided via Reverse Osmosis (RO) process. The machines would dispense only RO processed water. The machine provider will, however, be allowed to advertise on the machines and the frame used to cover the machines.
