Rajasthan EWM Project to benefit 500 MSMEs, create 1500 green jobs

Paripatram has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Rajasthan to develop a comprehensive e-waste management system.

The project includes establishing of e-waste collection centres in key urban and rural locations, integrating informal waste collectors into a formalised supply chain, optimising e-waste processing, dismantling centres and setting up of micro-factories near collection points. A centralized Common Facility Centre will recycle high-value e-waste components.

This project is expected to create over 500 MSMEs and more than 1,500 direct green jobs, with around 10,000 indirect jobs in the e-waste processing supply chain. It will also implement training programs to upskill workers from the informal sector, preparing them for formal roles in EWM.

With an estimated `20 crore in additional GST revenue annually, the project will boost the state’s economy and reduce reliance on external raw material sources. The sale of recycled materials is projected to generate `115 crore in annual revenue. The model may also be expanded to other waste streams, including end-of-life vehicles, tires, and plastics.
