As a part of addressing road safety awareness, Diversey India’s Nalagarh-Plant organized a ‘Road Safety and Safe Driving’ training session for the Nalagarh Truck Union (NTU) on November 2 at the NTU office. The training was initiated with the objective of creating safe driving practice awareness amongst the truck drivers. It covered aspects as defensive driving, road hazards, adverse weather conditions, perils of speeding and were also educated about Central Motor Vehicle Act & penalties, effect of alcohol & drugs on driving and mobile hazard during driving. The session was conducted by a faculty from India Road Safety and Fleet Management (IRSFM) and over 300 truck drivers affiliated with NTU participated in this training.
Prashant Deshta, SDM – Nalagarh, Vidyaratan, President – NTU; authorities and officers from state police and traffic department were present along with the other esteemed members of NTU. From Diversey India, Deepak Vazirani – Supply Chain Director, Deepak Sunder – Interim Factory Manager and other senior factory members were present to mark the occasion.
