Sewer upgradation

Haryana government is planning to install proper sewerage plants in 78 towns. This process of upgradation in phases will later cover the entire state. The ground water in quite a few areas, including Sonepat, Gurgaon and Faridabad is heavily polluted because of the dumping of effluents in rivers and rivulets. The underground water has become toxic for crops and is also the cause of many fatal diseases. To check this, the government will be enforcing strict penalties against factories endangering the environment.
