What are the unique solutions you are offering and to which industries?

Tennant is a technology-driven company and offers various innovative solutions which empowers customers to have clean, green and safer environment.

Proprietary Ec-H2O NanoCleanTM electrically converts water into an innovative solution and eliminates usage of detergents. It consumes 70% less water, increases productivity due to longer run time per fill and is environment friendly. This can even clean food grease. Tennant scrubbers find its application in food, auto, retail, warehouse and logistics.

Patented 3-stage SWEEPMAXR technology increases productivity and reduces overall cost of ownership as only 15% of total dirt on the floor reaches to consumable filter which can trap dust up to 0.5 microns. Tennant sweeper finds its application in cement, steel, aluminum and other heavy industries.

How much dif ference in demand have you seen for your products in the last three years?

There is definitely increase in demand and acceptability that Tennant products are made to last which reduces overall cost of ownership. This year we expect to double our sales compared to last year.

What challenges do you face when it comes to offering industrial cleaning solutions in keeping with the Indian buying and consumption pattern?

The biggest challenge is the cost mind set and the low priority given to cleaning equipment when it comes to budgeting. The good news is that this mind set is changing and will fuel growth of this industry. We educate customers to look for overall cost of ownership rather than initial costs. We introduced hiring offerings and it has been very successful for us this year.

How do you cater to after sales service?

few-dealer-workshopsWe have more than 50 company technicians and 45 dealer locations to provide technical support and spare parts. We have three company-owned workshops in the country other than few dealer workshops for overhauling or upgrading of the equipment.

Anything else you would like to add?

We have a fleet of more than 500 material handling equipment on hire with 97% deployment. We want our customers to focus on their core competencies. We bring in an experience of more than 45 lakh working hours of equipment with more than 94% uptime. We fulfill all statutory norms as required by the customer. Our customers include end customers as well as facility management companies.

How do you foresee growth in the coming two years and what factors contribute to this growth?

We expect cleaning equipment market to grow at CAGR of 25-30% over next two years. The general awareness towards cleaning has increased and people have experienced its advantages. It is a challenge for organizations to retain talent and young workforce called millennials, who do not want to work in a dirty workplace.
