The much-awaited Texcare International made a successful comeback after an eight-year gap. The just concluded exhibition from November 6-9, 2024, at Frankfurt, was truly a networking point and as the exhibitors put it “there is no other show like Texcare, as we get to meet the right visitors here”. About 305 companies from 32 countries showcased their latest innovations in automation and energy efficiency. The event attracted approximately 15,500 visitors from 122 countries, making it a global gathering of textile care professionals.
Texcare highlighted the latest innovations for laundries, dry cleaners, and textile service companies. A remarkable 98% of trade visitors expressed satisfaction with their experience, and 52% anticipate an improved industry economy.
The industry’s commitment to addressing labour shortages and rising energy costs was evident in the significant surge of innovative solutions. Exhibitors showcased technologies, from advanced robotics to sustainable practices.
According to the Texcare report, 98% visitors were satisfied to extremely satisfied with what Texcare had to offer, and 97% said they had achieved their goals for the trade fair. Visitors from a total of 122 countries came to the leading trade fair. The top ten visitor countries were: Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Great Britain, Poland, Belgium, Greece and Switzerland. The most important visitor countries from outside Europe were the USA, China and Australia. The degree of internationality was around 70% for visitors and 72% for exhibitors. The main areas of interest for visitors were machinery, equipment and components for washing, cleaning, drying and finishing textiles, as well asfor energy generation, energy saving, recycling, environmental and water technology.
Industry leaders and associations shared their optimism about the future of textile care. Wolfgang Marzin, CEO of Messe Frankfurt, emphasized the industry’s strides in innovation and the strong international presence at Texcare. Elgar Straub, CEO of VDMA Textile Care, highlighted the positive atmosphere and the focus on key industry trends like hygiene, automation, digitalization, logistics, and AI. Andreas Schumacher, General Manager of the German Textile Care Association, noted the industry’s emphasis on automation, digital solutions, and sustainability.
Texcare International 2024 offered a comprehensive program, including the Texcare Forum and guided tours. The forum delved into crucial topics like sustainability, circular economy, and automation, while the guided tours provided valuable insights into industry trends and best practices.
The next Texcare is scheduled for 2028.
