What scrubber-dryers does the market want?

by Super Admin
0 comment

Compared to manual floor cleaning, scrubber-dryers offer faster, more cost-effective and more thorough cleaning for all types of floors. From small businesses and restaurants to large shopping centres and airports, scrubber-dryers provide efficient cleaning for areas ranging from 30 to 30,000 m². Other than a definite tilt towards battery-operated scrubber driers, here are the other market trends in this segment.

Sustainability

This includes many features such as utilities consumption, impact on the environment, impact on people and cost. Many buyers are looking for environment-friendly features in machines, such as those which help save on water, reduce chemical wastage and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. What’s more, a large number of them are even willing to pay more for socially responsible products.

This manifests in specific ways, such as choosing scrubber-dryers which use electrolysed water for cleaning rather than harsh chemicals.

Robotic machines

The industry will continue to be digitalised, moving towards automation (robotics), in order to reduce labourious work and duration of cleaning. Although robotic scrubber driers are already available, the Indian market may not yet accept them because of cost concerns. But in the future, we will see more robotic cleaning machines on the ground. In the coming years, machines with AI will rule the market.

Fleet management systems

Tracking devices are going to help more and more administrators to manage assets, track the time of workers and maximise efficiency. The fleet management systems stemming from IoT technology will give FM service providers the best benefits.

Current market

Autonomous scrubber driers are in high demand due to their ability to efficiently clean medium and large areas, freeing up cleaners to focus on more complex tasks. Compact scrubber driers, such as push scrubber dryers, are also popular for small to medium-sized areas like restaurants, hotels and highly frequented spaces. Walk-behind scrubber driers, which are lightweight and easy to transport, are similarly well-regarded for their simple operation and colour-coded design.

For large spaces, ride-on floor scrubber driers are the preferred choice, thanks to their powerful cleaning capabilities and ease of use. Cordless scrubber driers are also highly sought after for their versatility and efficiency.
