Clean India Journal pays tribute to an outstanding personality in the laundry segment – Vijay Rodda – the man who stood by us in building the laundry section in the magazine and sharing his knowledge at various forums like LaundrexNet and International Housekeepers’ Summit.
A chemical engineer from IIT-Powai, Vijay Rodda began his career with the chemical and textile industries before entering the Taj Group in 1975. He is a distinguished person with a rare combination of experience in Textiles, Detergent-Manufacturing and Laundry.
He began as Assistant Laundry manager and grew to become Director-Laundry Services at the Taj before retiring in 2006.
Vijay Rodda pursued his services by offering consultancy both in India and abroad. Right from pre-opening to setting up retail & commercial laundry besides innovating newer processes for reducing water, power and detergent consumption, Vijay Rodda believed and propagated intelligent laundry systems and solutions. He will always be remembered for his undying knowledge and service to the laundry segment.
