Antimicrobial coating for high-touch surfaces

Nanotech-based solution with 30 day efficacy

CIJ 4/18-1305

We live in a microbial world full of bacteria and viruses in our surroundings. It is a known fact that these pathogens can remain active on surfaces for up to 28 days. The pandemic showed us the importance of health and hygiene and also how incompetent we were in the same. Nothing rules out the possibility of another wave or virus hitting our country in near future.

To combat the pandemic and increased resistance against viruses and their mutants, disinfectants saw a 30-40% surge in spending across various sectors like hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, wastewater treatment plants, and even ordinary houses around the world. Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs) are on a constant rise. Increased microbial resistance to disinfectants still proves to be a major challenge in the Healthcare Industry. As per reports, the chances of an individual acquiring HAIs increase by a whopping 76% when you step in a healthcare facility. High touch point areas in establishments like hospitals, clinics, nursing centers, etc are a hotspot for such microbes to survive and multiply.

Any conventional disinfectant like alcohol based, sodium hypochlorite, acids last for only about a few minutes or perhaps till the next touch. Different types of disinfectants have come into the picture with their set of pros and cons. Some high-level acidic disinfectants may be effective against Covid but are hazardous and not environmentally friendly.

A clean looking surface may not be necessarily safe. The pandemic has seen the global perspective shifting from cleanliness quotient to hygiene quotient of surroundings. R&D backed products with long-lasting efficacy, proven protection, certified and safe outcomes are the need of the hour.

Therefore, Rossari Biotech Ltd introduced Dr. Nanoxa, a new-age, unique, much-wanted, certified, and inexpensive solution to disinfect commonly touched surfaces. Dr. Nanoxa is an Antimicrobial Surface Coating infused with Nanotechnology that effectively ‘self-sanitizes’ surfaces and provides bio-security from bacteria and viruses (incl. SARS-CoV-2) for up to 30 days on a single application. It is proven to inactivate 99.9% of bacteria and viruses on surfaces and prevents their further growth.

The active ingredients of Dr. Nanoxa are a cocktail of metal nanoparticles encapsulated on an intelligent polymer that gives a triple layer prolonged protection against harmful pathogens. These metal elements are known to be antimicrobial in nature. Leveraging the prowess of nanotechnology, they give stability and thus, long-term protection.

Dr. Nanoxa is tested and validated using international standards by independent NABL labs across the country and is non-hazardous, skin and environment friendly.
