Indo-Swiss partnership ushers in green cleaning revolution

Cleanfix-Schevaran Systems Private Limited, an Indo-Swiss joint venture has launched its Cleanfix India Manufacturing Facility, bringing state-of-the-art cleaning machines to India. Cleanfix Reinigungssysteme AG, a global leader in robotic hygiene and cleaning machines, has partnered with Mysuru-based Schevaran Laboratories Pvt Ltd for this initiative.

The Cleanfix India Manufacturing Facility located in Thandya in Nanjangud Taluk, Mysuru was inaugurated on June 22nd at the hands of H.E. Dr. Ralf Heckner, Ambassador of Switzerland to India and Bhutan, who was the Chief Guest. HH Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Maharaja of Mysore graced the occasion as a Guest of Honour.

The new Mysuru facility stands for sustainability in manufacturing and is powered through a solar energy farm that makes it self-reliant, with no pollution through water and effluent discharge. Community integration also forms a part of the company’s core values. The rainwater harvesting measures are another highlight of the Cleanfix India Manufacturing Facility’s efforts to be self-reliant. 40% of the Mysuru campus is also covered in forest.

For the company, the launch of the production facility is all about offering the very best in Swiss quality backed up by advice, service, and proximity to its customers. Following a path of constant innovation, it is looking at positioning itself as a key provider of quality cleaning machines for a wide variety of customers by manufacturing products that specifically meet Indian needs.

The one-of-its-kind facility will manufacture machines that use robotics and offer automated cleaning solutions for a variety of uses ranging from large-sized spaces like warehouses, malls and railway stations to smaller areas like corporate workspaces. The use of robotics ensures sustainability in cleaning as it is capable of working through the day without putting any stress on the existing infrastructure.

“This is the first Cleanfix plant outside of Switzerland and they chose India and an Indian company to partner with”, said a company spokesperson. “This Indo-Swiss JV in manufacturing will pave the way for Cleanfix-Schevaran to emerge as a strong player in the cleaning solutions business within a short span of time. We look forward to a growth that is not just sustainable but also responsible. The robotic cleaning machines and solutions manufactured at of this plant are designed to meet the modern needs of the day.”
