FDA-approved hand sanitiser to minimise infection spread

by Clean India Journal Editor

Ideal for organisations across industries

CIJ 1/18-1278

Hand sanitisers are largely alcohol-based and are used to reduce the presence of infectious pathogens on hands and palms. When soap and water aren’t accessible for handwashing, a hand sanitiser that contains at least 70% alcohol can help you keep your hands germ-free and prevent illness.

Some brands’ hand sanitisers use chemicals instead of alcohol as an active ingredient. Non-alcohol products may not be as effective against many types of germs, or may only slow their growth rather than killing them. By breaking down proteins, splitting cells into pieces or tampering with a cell’s metabolism, alcohol-based sanitisers kill disease-causing agents (bacteria) or pathogens.

An Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) sanitiser is a type of alcohol-based sanitiser that is commonly used in concentrations of 70% since bacterial and virus cells are destroyed at a faster rate. Alcohol-free hand sanitizers, on the other hand, are slower to act than alcohol and may not eliminate all types of germs, bacteria, and viruses.

Buzil Rossari Pvt Ltd’s Pure Touch – An Instant Sanitizer (FDA approved) is appropriate for use in food processing, healthcare, education, offices, and other hygiene sensitive locations.
