Tenon FM recognised as UK’s top Indian Employer

The “India Meets Britain Tracker 2024”, recently released by Grant Thornton and the Confederation of Indian Industry, has listed Tenon FM, a leading integrated facilities management company and subsidiary of Tenon Group, for its significant contributions to the UK economy. The report, presented in the House of Lords, acknowledges Tenon FM as the 8th largest Indian employer in the UK.

Tenon FM’s recognition as one of the fastest-growing Indian-owned companies in the UK affirms its commitment to innovation and its strategic approach to growth, inspiring the company to reach greater heights.

With a strong presence across India, Singapore, and the UK, Tenon is a bridge fostering international collaboration. It has been actively creating valuable job opportunities, solidifying its position as a critical player in the global market. Speaking to Clean India Journal, Major Manjit Rajain, Global Chairman, Tenon Group, stated that “The UK has become a strategic growth engine for Tenon FM. Our double-digit growth and ranking as a top employer are not just milestones but building blocks for an even more impactful future. We are committed to becoming the leading facilities management partner in the UK, not only by delivering exceptional service but also by fostering a future-ready workforce and embracing sustainable practices.

“We are committed to creating a positive impact that goes beyond just buildings. By building a strong workforce, we create high-quality jobs and foster a diverse & talented workforce. We are constantly innovating and expanding our services to meet our clients’ evolving needs. This translates to increased revenue, which in turn fuels further growth and economic activity. By implementing sustainable solutions in our facilities management services, we are not just delivering value to our clients, we are helping to build a greener and more sustainable future,” he added.

Emphasizing on human capital, he said that “While automation can handle repetitive tasks, we believe its actual value lies in augmenting our human workforce, not replacing it. We focus on leveraging automation to streamline processes, free up our employees’ time, and allow them to focus on higher-value activities. For example, automation can handle scheduling routine maintenance tasks, generate reports, or analyse building data, allowing our facility management experts to focus on strategic planning, client service, and proactive problem-solving.”

With a workforce of 80,000 strong, at Tenon Group, “We see automation as an opportunity to upskill and reskill our workforce. We can ensure our team stays ahead of the curve by providing training in automation technologies, data analysis, and soft skills like complex problem-solving and client communication.”

Tasks like data collection, preventive maintenance scheduling, and generating customised reports can be automated, freeing up valuable time and resources. This allows to focus on innovation and develop new service offerings that meet the evolving needs of clients in a data-driven and automated world.

“The future lies in collaboration between humans and automation,” he concluded.

Tenon Group, established in 1995, boasts a rich heritage of over 29 years. The company has carved a niche in the competitive security and facility management sectors, offering comprehensive services. The company manages over 350 million square feet of space and caters to more than 3100 clients across the globe.
