The recent Texcare Asia & China Laundry Expo (TXCA & CLE) held from 25 – 27 September 2023 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, proved to be a clear testimony to the textile care industry’s resilience and innovation. A staggering 337 exhibitors from 15 diverse countries came together, showcasing their revolutionary products to 27,247 potential buyers spanning 59 nations. These figures not only reflect the industry’s robustness post-pandemic but also its aspiration for a brighter, more connected future.

Spanning a massive 25,000 sqm, the expo was a hotbed of innovation, presenting advancements especially in automation, intelligence, and sustainable development. Featured exhibitions included everything from Weishi’s state-of-the-art towel folder to Alliance’s UniMac 500G Pocket Hardmount Washers, and many more.

Richard Li of Messe Frankfurt Shanghai eloquently captured the essence of the event, expressing delight at the turnout and highlighting the marked shift towards embracing the industry’s groundbreaking innovations since the 2020 edition.

Xiuping Han, of Unifair Exhibition Service, recognized the pandemic’s challenges but also the opportunities it carved out. The event, in her view, played a pivotal role in industry transformation, fostering a ripe environment for efficient, eco-friendly products and solutions.

Industry stalwarts like Alliance, Chuandao and Girbau marked their commanding presence, further enriched by the entrance of over 90 new domestic suppliers. The side events, especially the 4th China Public Textile Laundry Summit Forum, amplified the learning and networking opportunities manifold.

David Liu of Alliance Laundry Systems and Serge Joris of Girbau Group both pointed out the expo’s unparalleled significance in the textile care landscape. For them, sustainability, automation, and the irreplaceable value of in-person interactions were standout themes.

Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Alex Teo particularly emphasised the expo’s crucial role in discovering opportunities in potential-rich regions like ASEAN.

Rajeev Sharma, a veteran in textile care from India, was particularly impressed with the networking opportunities, stating that the connections made here could shape the industry’s future collaborations and partnerships.

Serving as Asia’s premier hub for textile care, TXCA & CLE seamlessly blended traditional offerings like machinery with contemporary innovations in digital solutions. Organised by luminaries of the industry, anticipation is fervently building for its next edition from 2 – 4 August 2024.
