Kam-Avida to supply Beam Sweepers to MIAL
Kam-Avida Enviro Engineers Pvt Ltd has signed an agreement with Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd (MIAL) to maintain the Airports using sweepers of Denmark-based Beam. Speaking to CIJ, S. Harikumar, Associate Vice-President-LSD, said, “Runways, taxiways and apron areas in the airport are high value assets and its upkeep is very important not only for reducing recurring maintenance costs but also to safeguard the aircraft, air crew and passengers. These machines are designed and manufactured to meet specific requirements of an airport. More than 200 Beam sweepers are successfully being operated in airports worldwide.”
Beam A9500 high speed Runway Sweeper cum Scrubber will be operated and maintained by Kam-Avida. “Kam-Avida engineers, trained by Beam, will also provide the after sales service for the equipment. The team will monitor the service level requirements of MIAL and devise a maintenance plan accordingly,” said Harikumar. “MIAL team will also receive regular training to enhance the operation and applications of the equipment to its highest level of efficiency.”
