In a way to encourage waste management practises in Bengaluru, the Bengaluru Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) has instituted an award for best practice in effective management of solid waste for its member companies. The BCIC has roped in Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD) as the knowledge partner for the event. Based on the applications received, the CSD will further evaluate these companies and the jury will honour the most innovative model in managing solid waste.
