Taj Hotels partners with Diversey

Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris, an iconic brand of Indian Hotel Company Limited (IHCL), has announced a strategic alliance with Diversey for putting into operation an advance laundry system that will help conserve water & electricity and also improve productivity. This partnership is in line with Taj’s commitment to preserving the environment. Taj commits to saving 10 million litres of water by June 2018.

“We are committed to be a responsible citizen on this planet. We integrate sustainable development into our business practices and this initiative will help us conserve our natural resources.” said Ashish Seth, Vice President Materials, IHCL.

The program was piloted at five Taj hotels which resulted in significant savings in water, electricity and man hours:

• 5 million litres of water
• 26,000 kilowatts of electricity
• 147,000 kilograms of steam
• 1,800-man hours
