The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has installed an in-house washing system for its buses at the Bangalore Central Division Depot which operates 121 schedules with 128 Volvo buses.
According to the KSRTC officials, the earlier washing system had only two brushes whereas the new machine has six brushes on each side. This will improve the quality of washing. There is an additional exclusive brush fitted on the roof to wash the bus roof top. The new system takes seven minutes to clean a bus.
