Vinay Ruparel, MD, Jade Consumer Products and Best Practice Washrooms: “We got good response from customers for our launch of new services for health and industrial sectors. The products and services drew attentions from food processing, healthcare, IT, industries, hospitality and FM Companies too.”

Arun Jatia, Director, Pudumjee Group: “With what has been showcased at CIS, it can be realized that more companies are bringing in environment friendly cleaning chemicals. Until recently there were just a few companies into Green Seal certified hygiene products. Global MNCs are also planning on launching Green Seal Certified products into India. This development will complement the construction of Leed Certified Green Buildings in India.”

Amongst the varied subjects related to the cleaning industry, Medical Tourism and Healthcare Accreditation drew visitor’s response marking the growing awareness levels in terms of cleaning and hygiene globally with healthcare being one of the biggest growing sectors. The industry feels that there is a need for an integrated cleaning approach across all departments of the hospitals. Infection control practices in kitchen and laundry segments were deliberated during the seminars and the show. The trend is that there are strict cost control measures followed for kitchen, laundry and housekeeping in healthcare institutions and at times quality and safety are compromised. In order to address this lacuna, wholesome solutions need to be implemented to supplement infection control efforts. This can be done by upgrading standards in hospitals through accreditation.

Selvaraj Nathan, GM, Marketing, Innovative: “We displayed our widest range of commercial and industrial cleaning machines. There was a mix of visitors from different industries for our specialised machines for the industrial sectors like industrial vacuum cleaners, flux recovery systems, dust collectors, ride on scrubber drier for industrial cleaning.”

Vivek Mata, Managing Director, Charnock Equipments Pvt Ltd: “The show has grown over the years professionally. It has lived up to the international standards. Meaningful visitors came despite cleaning being given the lowest priority in India.”

Sunil Kapoor, National Sales Manager, Karcher India: “The show was important given the growth in various sectors like hospitality, healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, and pharma. There was a lot of participation from manufacturing segments.”

Manoj Pachisia, CEO, Origami Tissues: “The Show has served as a good platform for us, as we could network with industry clients including IT. About 30% of the key people we met were involved in the purchase and we also got distribution enquiries. Clients from FM, hospitality and healthcare approached us during the show.”

Prashant Sule, Managing Director, PCIES : “People from the IT segment approached us during the show and the response was good.”

Dr JPS Bakshi , Director, Global Excellence Group: “The industry has grown over the past one decade and the show has been able to generate awareness about technology, chemicals and methods.”
