Alpha Products Driving the Eco-Friendly Evolution

Moving out of using traditional cleaning chemicals is a choice but moving into using the right chemicals is a decision. And this is possible only when the product is rightly tried, tested and result oriented. Foreseeing the need for such cleaning solutions that “really works”, Yugesh Naik, the founder of Alpha Products, began his journey of creating eco-friendly cleaning solutions for the homecare and institutional spaces two decades back.

What inspired the formation of Alpha Products and your journey towards creating eco-friendly cleaning solutions?

A decade ago, I envisioned the future of green products and eco-friendly practices, inspired by my background in the pharma industry and motivated by the need for hygienic solutions. The genesis of Alpha Products traces back to my encounter with the unpleasant odours in washrooms, which ignited a drive to revolutionize cleaning practices. We started with the introduction of BCS-A1 Bathroom Cleaner cum Sanitizer, leveraging organic acids derived from sugarcane molasses and eco-friendly surfactants. Witnessing the transformative results of our products in removing hard water stains, soap scum, and yellow stains from various surfaces, we initiated a paradigm shift towards eco-friendly cleaning solutions in India.

Could you elaborate on the range of products Alpha offers and how they address specific challenges in various sectors?

Our product line encompasses a diverse range, including MARBINOL-A2 Hard Surface Cleaner Concentrate, CLASSIC A3 Glass Cleaner Concentrate, WOODSHINE-A4 Furniture Maintainer & Polish, KHUSHBOO-A5 Room Freshener, ALPHA SP-P7 Steel Polish, and PEARL Silk Hand Wash. These products are meticulously formulated to tackle the unique challenges faced in different sectors, such as hospitality, healthcare, commercial buildings, educational institutions, and airports. For instance, our BCS-A1 Bathroom Cleaner cum Sanitizer not only removes hard water stains and soap scum but also doubles up as a toilet bowl cleaner, offering a non-corrosive alternative to conventional options. Our formulations are tailored for Indian soil conditions, ensuring unparalleled efficacy and reliability.

What sets Alpha Products apart from competitors in the market, and how do you ensure customer satisfaction?

At Alpha Products, we prioritize understanding the pulse of our customers and addressing their key cleaning challenges innovatively. Our formulations are designed to surpass industry standards, offering eco-friendly alternatives with no VOCs, ammonia, or APEO surfactants. Moreover, our products undergo rigorous testing to ensure consistency and efficacy. Customer feedback has been instrumental in refining our solutions, and our commitment to quality and reliability has earned us accolades such as ‘Quality Excellence.’ We take pride in our ability to provide tailored solutions that resonate with our customers, fostering long-term relationships based on trust and satisfaction.

How do you view the current landscape of the cleaning industry in India, particularly in terms of environmental sustainability?

While strides have been made towards environmental sustainability in the cleaning industry, there is still room for improvement, especially in terms of widespread adoption of green products and practices. It is imperative for all stakeholders, including building owners, facility managers, and consumers, to prioritize eco-friendly solutions and understand the significance of their choices. At Alpha Products, we emphasize the need for education and awareness to drive meaningful change, advocating for the use of green chemicals and promoting a ‘Make in India’ ethos. With initiatives like Swachh Bharat, the momentum towards a cleaner and greener India is palpable, and we remain committed to playing our part in this transformation.

Which are the customer segments you serve?

We have established a robust presence across India, with strong footholds in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Northeast, and South India. Our customer segments span various industries, including hotels, restaurants, healthcare facilities, commercial buildings, and housekeeping service providers. Additionally, we maintain direct relationships with some customers and ensure sufficient stock availability to fulfil orders with a lead time of two days pan India.

In response to evolving consumer preferences, we are also venturing into e-commerce to cater to the new generation of buyers who seek convenience and accessibility in their purchasing experience.

What are Alpha Products’ future goals and expansion plans?

Our overarching goal is to establish Alpha Products as a trusted name synonymous with high-quality, eco-friendly cleaning solutions across diverse sectors. We aim to expand our presence pan-India, partnering with distributors and wholesalers while venturing into new segments like E-commerce to cater to evolving consumer preferences. Additionally, we aspire to continue our research and development efforts, staying ahead of the curve in surface chemistry formulations and addressing emerging cleaning challenges. Ultimately, our vision is to contribute to India’s journey towards sustainability and environmental responsibility, one eco-friendly solution at a time.
