HUL’s Sustainability Investment

Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) acquired 14.3% stake in Lucro Plastecycle Private Limited (Lucro), a recycled flexible plastics company which is into waste management, recycling and product manufacturing, focussed on creating a circular plastics economy. The investment is a step towards HUL’s sustainability goals in line with the Union government’s vision of a zero plastic waste future. The decision is aimed at increasing the availability of recycled content for flexibles, a move towards sustainable plastic packaging and to take on the challenge of hard-to-recycle flexible plastic.
