The “Good Morning” squads which are operating in rural areas as part of ‘Nirmal Gram Abhiyan’ are entrusted with the task of discouraging villagers from defecating in the open. The squad is part of the Nirmal Gram Abhiyan, a sanitation drive to eradicate open defecation by 2010. The squad mostly comprises of team of panchayat officials who imposes on the spot fines ranging from र 500 – र 1200 on offenders
