Women’s NGO, Mahila Aadhar Association (MAA) with its 45 team members, recently initiated a sanitation programme called Swachhta Abhiyan at Vasai – cleaning the entire locality and also making people aware of how to keep their homes and nearby areas – clean and green.
President Geeta Ayare said, “We kept dustbin in every building with the message ‘Use me you will feel better’. We took the initiative to pass the message that for cleanliness and hygiene, we should not depend on anyone else but ourselves.”
