Mechanised cleaning for Commonwealth Youth Games venue

Sumeet Facilities Pvt Ltd, has won the contract for cleaning and housekeeping of the Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, venue of the III Commonwealth Youth Games 2008 in Pune. Sumeet has tied up with Manmachine Karcher for maintaining the 153 acres land at Balewadi in Pune. The company has deployed 350 workers including housekeepers, supervisors, managers and other administrative staff for the upkeep and cleaning of the premises. A week long training workshop conducted by Sumeet aimed at familiarising the workers with the work area, imparting on the job training and use of the correct machines and chemicals. Strapex, the local distributor of Manmachine, will provide 26 machines, including auto scrubbers, floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, high pressure washers and 10 trolleys for cleaning of the premises.
