Nashik is going to have portable toilets and urinals installed at various locations of the city during the forthcoming Kumbh Mela that would attract over 75lakh people here.
According to the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC), this job of installation of portable toilets is going to be outsourced to private parties and an EOI (Expression of Interest) has already been invited. The Kumbh Mela, beginning in August next, would require installation of at least 10,000 portable toilets/urinals. The cut-off date for submitting the applications is the end of this month. Those private parties interested are required to directly contact the NMC.
