US-based electrolyser manufacturer Ohmium is accelerating its green hydrogen journey in India, with plans for more collaborations and project expansions, particularly across the southern states. The company aims to achieve a global installed capacity of 5 GW by 2030, positioning India as a crucial hub for green hydrogen and e-fuel production, aligning with the country’s clean energy ambitions.
Ohmium has previously announced partnerships with NTPC and Hero Future Energies. The company expects around 40-50% of its global installations to be based in India, covering markets in Europe, the Middle East, North America, South America, and Australia.
Currently, Ohmium is working on projects involving refineries and ammonia plants in India.
