Sweepers for Chennai Corporation!

The Chennai Municipal Corporation has planned to purchase mechanical sweepers for the ten zones after the announcement was made in the civic budget-2011. The corporation already has one mechanical sweeper running in Kamaraj Salai. It is planning to procure nine more to clean other arterial roads. Besides, the civic body would also place 1,000 litter bins of 80lt capacity to improve cleanliness in public places like beach and places of worship. Small mechanical sweepers will also be procured to clean narrow streets.
