Similarly, automobile is flourishing too with manufacturers from across the globe setting up units in West and South India. All the top leading showrooms are concentrated in and around Kerala, the most literate State with big number of car consumers. Be it an Audi or a Nissan, a Benz or Honda or Hyundai… Tata Motors or Mahindra or Maruti, you can find them all here. A good number of the car wash centers, service centers and garages are stationed in South India requiring the latest solutions in car wash and car detailing and maintenance. Car Care Expo this time on will have some the bigger players in the market, including petroleum giant HPCL.
Even more interesting is the indigenously manufactured vehicle wash system being introduced at the show, providing a niche solution and a taste of Make in India to the State Transport and private fleet owners. The Deccan city of Hyderabad is already the base for fleet giants like Uber Technologies which opened up its first service station in Asia in February last.
South India also has some of the first Smart Cities in the making Kochi in Kerala, Visakhapatnam and Kakinada in Andhra, Belagavi and Davangere in Karnataka and Coimbatore and Chennai in Tamil Nadu. With more and more Government initiatives being favourable to product and service providers, sustainable and cost effective solutions suitable in the making Smart Cities will be showcased at the Expos. Smart Cities also increase the need for system integrators and facility management services, who will be at the Show.
Facility service are constantly striving to strike a cord with the client company to enable a longstanding association. Keeping the need of the day in mind, a special workshop for facility services is being organised on the second day.
Coming back to industries, South India is a garment hub too largely concentrated in Tamil Nadu. With water being a major issue with these industries, wastewater recycling solutions are much sought after.
Clean India Journal spoke to some of the industrial segments to understand their requirements. What came to fore was demand for machines that are more affordable and have a good back up of service after sales. Steam cleaning, energy efficient cleaning, back pack and battery operated machines were some of the solutions that industries are looking at sourcing. With Pharma, it is more to do with certified standard products.
At the laundry end, retail and commercial segments are keen on finding innovative and new solutions. Many in the retail are particularly interested in Press products. The LaundreNet, once again this year, will be held on the third day and witness the laundry segment network and exchange knowledge through panel discussion and presentations.
This is probably the right time, as the Show would draw almost all the industries under one roof. The supporting partners for CTW 2017 include Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Indian Professional Housekeepers’ Association, Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum, Indian Pest Control Association alongside Buzil Rossari, Kibble Enterprises and Quick Clean.
