A vision for health, hygiene & sustainability

by Clean India Journal - Editor

Dr Rachna Dave, Founder CEO, MicroGO LLP shares her vision for the company’s vision for existence, and the impact it strives to create for the future.

The recent Covid-19 pandemic has thrust infectious diseases back into the spotlight, reminding us how a small virus originating in one corner of the world can spread like wildfire and engulf the entire globe in a matter of moments. This single virus brought global progress to a standstill for 2.5 to 3 years, affecting every individual, both personally and on a global scale.

In the face of this global crisis, we are confronted with a fundamental question: What is the most effective strategy to confront this monumental challenge?

One Health

Among the various approaches available, we firmly endorse the ‘One Health’ concept, which embodies the profound truth that safeguarding human health is intricately linked to the well-being of animal and environmental health. These three interconnected domains are essential components of the ecosystems that sustain us. Therefore, embracing a holistic approach to combat infectious diseases with a focus on prevention at their source is not just advisable but imperative.

Invisible cleanliness

For most, cleanliness, or SWACHHTA, entails the absence of dirt, dust, stains, waste and unpleasant odours. However, MicroGO’s concept of cleanliness extends to include the absence of harmful microbes, or ‘microSWACHHTA’. Regrettably, microbes are invisible to the naked eye, and often overlooked in our routine cleaning processes. This oversight extends to our treatment of water and food, where we must not forget the importance of microSWACHHTA in warding off infectious diseases.

Crucially, while striving for microscopic cleanliness, we must also maintain the health of the environment. Thus, MicroGO brings sustainability to all its solutions across food, water and healthcare.

Savings, not spends

We understand that preventive measures incur costs, leading many to neglect them despite awareness of the problem. This necessitates operational sustainability, where we ensure profitability through the implementation of our solutions. With our advanced solutions, we have transformed hygiene and cleanliness practices from mere expenditures into valuable investments.

Broader vision

We are not just a cleaning and hygiene company; instead, we utilise hygiene and infection prevention solutions as tools to address broader issues that will profoundly impact humanity. At MicroGO, we are building an ‘ecosystem of prevention solutions’ to address significant issues surrounding food safety and security, water scarcity, potability, efficient usage, and infection prevention in hospitals.
