To ward off harmful bacteria, scientists have created a new form of paper which could have wide ranging applications from anti-bacterial bandages to food packaging that keeps food fresh for longer to shoes that ward off foot odour. Comprising of the thinnest possible sheets of carbon called grapheme, the material used in the paper was first discovered by the British scientists in 2004. According to a statement of the American Chemical Society, scientists have tried to use grapheme in solar cells, computer chips and sensors.
