In order to add value to its utilities and services, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has planned to host a vendor meet in the first week of January. The meet will help vendors better understand the requirements of BIAL and also enhance vendor’s importance during the procurement process. SOPs will also be drawn for the tendering process during the meet.
Vinayaka Gangavathi, Assistant Manager – Procurements, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), told Clean India Journal, “Tenders for future projects would mainly involve cleaning tools, consumables like brushes, soaps, mops and equipment like scrubber drier. We are looking for vendors who can provide us quality material with extended warranty.
“Over 20% of the airport infrastructure comprises of washrooms. We have recently installed Auto Urinal sanitizers from Mystair Hygiene Care Private Limited through our service provider, Avon Facility Management Services Pvt Ltd. The three-year contract for Auto Urinal Sanitizers includes refilling on a bi-monthly basis.” The airport would also be installing 3M Nomad Entrance Matting System as the existing ones have exceeded their warranty period.
