The Ecogreen Cleaning & Hygiene Products of the Global Excellence Group has recently taken up distributorship of no-touch cleaning products of Kaivac Cleaning Systems, USA. Emphasising the need for such systems in India, Dr J.P.S. Bakshi, MD, told CIJ that “traditional restroom cleaning methods simply redistribute contaminants and also tend to cross contaminate. The fact is that you cannot have a healthy building if the restrooms are not hygienically cleaned.”
The no-touch systems are designed to remove maximum amount of bio-pollution, empowering janitors to hygienically clean without touching the contaminated surfaces of the restrooms. A recent study conducted by Kaivac shows that the no-touch cleaning is 60 times more effective in removing bacteria from grout lines than regular mopping with flat mops. This system also reduces the number of equipment, tools and chemicals required for cleaning surfaces.
