Des E / Des E Extra are alcohol-based rubs for waterless disinfection, with moisturisers added because alcohol otherwise dries skin fast. Plus H41 is antimicrobial and perfume-free, which is what makes it appropriate for food service and healthcare. Enhance and Star are scented general-purpose soaps for public buildings and offices.

The perfume-free point matters more than it sounds: fragrance is a contamination risk near food and an irritant risk in clinical settings.

Why pair Tork with Diversey rather than buying separately?

Because the dispenser and the liquid are one system, not two purchases. Portable wiping systems and roll dispensers are designed to combine Tork paper products with Diversey cleaning and disinfecting liquids in a single unit.

Is a hand rub a substitute for washing hands?

Will frequent hand washing damage staff hands?

Which tier do I need for which part of my building?

The split follows the work: CREW for housekeeping and facility care — lobbies, guest rooms, floors, washroom surfaces and high-touch points. Sumabrite for anything behind the kitchen door. Soft Care for hands and skin.

In practice a hotel will carry all three; a standalone office may only need CREW and Soft Care.

Can I use one product across the whole site instead?

You can, but it usually costs more than it saves. A neutral all-purpose cleaner will not shift carbon deposits off a grill, and a kitchen degreaser is far too aggressive for repeated hand contact or a polished marble lobby floor.

The tiered approach exists because using the wrong chemistry either fails the job or damages the surface — and both end up more expensive than stocking the right product.

What does the Sumabrite All Rounder actually replace?

It is a 4-in-1 concentrate covering dishwashing, degreasing and floor or slab washing from a single pack. For a small kitchen that can mean one SKU in the store room instead of three or four.

It is formulated to be safe on stainless steel and aluminium, which is what makes it usable across both equipment and surfaces in the same area.

Are these safe on stainless steel and aluminium?

Do these come as concentrates or ready to use?

How much area will it realistically cover?

Maximum productivity is 700 m² per hour, but the realistic figure in service is 200–400 m² per hour. The gap is normal for a compact robot: the maximum assumes clear, open floor, while real restaurants and offices have furniture, footfall and turns.

Does it really scrub, vacuum and sweep?

It is formulated for all types of floors, including tiles, granite and marble — which covers most of the hard flooring in a hotel, hospital, campus or commercial building.

At a pH of 5.9 it sits close to neutral rather than strongly alkaline, which is the range that would otherwise etch polished stone over repeated cleaning.

How much should be diluted per litre of water?

For normal soiling, use 10 mL per 1 litre of water. For heavy soiling — entrance lobbies, monsoon footfall, back-of-house, end-of-day deep cleaning — increase to 25 mL per 1 litre.
