Noida and HCL Foundation – the CSR arm of HCL Technologies Ltd, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Project Clean Noida, pointed towards transforming the city’s Solid Waste Management (SWM) program. The project is aimed at helping the city emerge as best in terms of waste management, leading to reduced pollution levels, improved health and overall living conditions.
As part of the MoU, HCL Foundation will collaborate with Noida for analysing, planning, designing and implementing SWM strategies, focusing on waste segregation at source and effective management solutions for the remaining waste. The MoU also includes developing IT-enabled solutions for solid waste management operations, maintenance, coordination, monitoring and evaluation. A Collaboration Steering Committee is being constituted with representatives from both parties to manage, review, monitor and facilitate all projects.
