The residents of Huskur, under the leadership of Biocon Chairperson and Managing Director Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, recently kicked off the Swaccha Huskur Drive. Mazumdar-Shaw, who is a proud Huskur resident herself, is spearheading this drive aimed at making Huskur village a shining example for a cleaner and greener India.
Partcipating in the campaign, a large number of residents too went around Huskur village with brooms on Sunday to clear away litter and spread awareness among residents on the need to keep their surroundings clean.
Speaking on the occasion, Mazumdar-Shaw: “Each of us need to contribute to the aim of a Swaccha Bharat (Clean India) by doing our bit to ensure that our locality, neighborhood and surrounding areas are clean.
“As individuals, we should take the initiative in not only maintaining cleanliness ourselves but also encourage others to do the same. After all, a Clean Bengaluru means a Healthy Bengaluru.”
