Education Department issued notice to schools to submit sanitation status report

The Education Department has issued notice to all schools in Cuddalore, Kancheepuram Tiruvallur and Chennai districts to submit a report on the status of sanitation work. The various parameters to be covered include toilets, chlorination of water storage containers, furniture, safe access provision, checks on building structure, cleanliness, and disinfection in the promise. In addition, checks on electric switches and wiring, carry out fumigation, clear water-loggging, perform cleaning of meal centres to be done in all the schools.

The division has asked Chief Educational Officers of all these districts to receive a completion certificate between 11 to 13 December from school authorities to take all precautionary steps and prepare a complete report to submit Director of School Education by 12 pm on 13th December, 2015.
