In less than three years, I-Professional Housekeepers’ Association has spread its wings across all the major cities of India and has strategically created regional chapters to systematically expand the Association and its work. Another addition to the Northern zone came with the formation of the Chandigarh chapter recently.
The Chandigarh chapter was initiated by Vaishali Sinha, Founder & General Secretary I-PHA and Sareena Kochar, I-PHA Northern advisory committee head.
A panel discussion on the Ergonomics in Housekeeping was organized during the launch. Participating along with Vaishali and Sareena in the panel were Asha Pathania PVR Cinemas Housekeeping Head and Arijeet Aikat, Executive Housekeeper Sandal Suites, Lemon Tree Hotel.
In another precedented move to expand the West zone, I-PHA, organised a meet at Royal Orchid Central, Kalyaninagar. The West zone will also include Nashik, Mahabaleshwar, Gujarat, Daman and Diu.
Headquartered in Mumbai, I-PHA has a very strong membership in the West, requiring multiple chapters to address the needs of the members. Speaking to Clean India Journal, Vaishali Sinha said that the Association had about 500 members last year and “now we have crossed 800. Further, we have also successfully formed the Asian Housekeepers’ Association and have 11-member countries. This association with AHA will also help I-PHA members to get international exposure and experience.”
Commendably, all these events were held consecutively one behind the other in the last week of November.
