For the first time, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has planned to inspect temples to find out if they are adhering to civic guidelines for distributing cooked prasad. Corporators in each ward will survey all the temples and check their licences. Sanitation will also come under the scanner. These temples dump garbage on the road side as well. The corporation feels that the temples can pay a fee for having their garbage collected.
