Ecolab: ‘India is an important market’

“India is going to be a very important market for Ecolab,” Douglas M. Baker, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, told Clean India Journal during his visit to India last week. Having made a strong foundation in the Indian market and with the recent merger with Nalco, world leaders in water treatment, Ecolab hopes to accelerate its growth in India.

“With an established local manufacturing facility, local distribution and local research & development capabilities, we hope to accelerate our progression in the hotel and food-beverage sectors, which is our market focus at present,” he said. Now with the full range of Ecolab and Nalco services, “hotels can deal with one expert for its food safety, laundry and water solutions,” he added.
