In an attempt to make public dealing more accountable and transparent, the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon and the Haryana Urban Development Authority are gearing up to open their accounts on social networking site Facebook. The citizens can take photographs of poor sanitation and upload them on the civic body’s website mentioning the time and place. The idea behind the pilot project is to penalize the sanitation contractor for the shoddy work.
