CIJConnect Bot-enabled WhatsApp today at 4:00 PM.The Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway at Santragachi is planning to outsource on-board cleaning and hygiene of nine trains for a period of one year. Speaking to sources at SE Railway, the official said that the work pertains to en-route cleaning of trains.
“All cleaning work related to coach interior, toilets, doorway and vestibule pathway, entrance door with door handle and sealed window glass for AC coaches will be done by the contractor.” The contractor must be ISO 9001:2008 certified for mechanised cleaning services or Railway coach cleaning. The Railway is looking out for a contractor having a previous experience in mechanised cleaning of coaches in any of the coaching depots of Indian Railways under the “Clean Train station” scheme.
