Central Railways’ new online and SMS based Onboard cleaning program “Clean My Coach” is getting popular with 40-60 passengers using the facility daily.
Under the onboard housekeeping services (OBHS), CR has appointed contractors for 45 pairs of long-distance trains. As per the contract, the onboard janitors travel on the trains cleaning it periodically and attend to complaints from passengers during the journey. It takes 15-30 minutes to attend a complaint lodged on the system. The on-call cleaning service is available from 6am to 10pm. RFID technology has been introduced to ensure the staff performs its duty.
