The four concurrent Expos – 14th edition of Clean India Show, 2nd edition of Laundrex India Expo, 2nd edition of Waste Technology India Expo and 2nd edition of Car Care Expo – are unique and yet closely related driving towards a common goal of Cleaning.
Cleaning, roosting on the topmost agenda of the country and a goal set for 2019 to clean India, the expos on cleaning, laundry, waste and car care draw more significance and demand. More so in South India, with almost all top brands and MNCs setting up operations and chalking expansion plans.
Talk of Information Technology segment, where Bengaluru is the IT & start-up capital of the country and houses the world’s top companies employing 70% of the IT workforce, Hyderabad bounced back as the technology destination in the last two years and today houses Google, Apple Inc, Microsoft Corp., Facebook and so on. IT is one common segment that will find solutions at all the four expos, be it for keeping the office premises and washrooms clean, providing laundry facilities, managing kitchen waste or keeping its fleet well maintained and washed.
In the commercial space, hotels which largely support the IT and tourism industry, has gone up by the score in South India. Besides, Karnataka, Andhra, and parts of Tamil Nadu which are IT centric, hotels of Kerala, have been attracting tourists internationally calling for well maintained and clean ambience always. In fact, every State across the country is promoting Tourism and sourcing products to maintain tourist spaces and services for specialized cleaning of historical monuments. The Hospitality Connect this time will have a buyers’ meet where hotel housekeepers, engineers and procurement heads will source products for their premises.
Hotels of South are particularly looking at solutions for pest, which is one of the burning issues being faced in the entire country.
City Cleaning is in high demand as Municipal Corporations are vigorously tackling issues of waste management and striving to maintain clean roads. A special round table session will bring together the Corporations, CSR heads and cleaning industry to draw synergies towards the making of clean cities.
In fact, the cleaning and waste collection when addressed at source can lead to better maintenance of the city. Manufacturing industries, which generate all kinds of solid and liquid wastes need solutions at their premises. The WTI Expo, will address the requirements of industries right from collecting waste in receptacles, treating, or digesting or disposing waste correctly.
Speaking of manufacturing industries, pharma takes the lead in South India as it houses the biggest of drug makers. The preregistrations from the pharma is encouraging and the Industrial Cleaning session on the second day of the show would give an insight into the outsourcing cleaning model, especially to the manufacturing segment.
