A waste management plant worth र 34 crore is being set up in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh industrial belt at Solan in Himachal Pradesh. The plant, which would serve 1,200 hazardous waste-generating units, including the pharmaceutical, pesticide, chemical and paper units across the state would be run jointly by the BBN Industries Association with 49% share in the form of equity lying with the industries and the operating agency, United Phosphorus Limited (UPL) with 51%.
