Clean India Show 2015 made inroads into the Central India market, marking a new beginning for professional cleaning and sustainable solutions in this region. The Show opened avenues for distributors and suppliers besides increasing awareness about professional cleaning solutions on an organized platform. Clean India Journal gives a brief glimpse of the Show.

Central India is completely a virgin market and it was a good idea to organise the Show in Indore. Quality footfalls made all the difference. Some have even concluded sales-deal on the spot and many others have shown interest to procure at the earliest. Overall, it is a good beginning. The Clean India team is doing a wonderful job and this will help things get better and better.”

Vivek Mata, MD
Charnock Equipments Pvt Ltd (Exhibitor)

“It was a first-of-its-kind Show in Central India. By and large people are not aware of the latest cleaning & hygiene solutions; having experienced the latest mechanised solutions for the first time, it will take a year or two before we can see business happening in this region. Clean India team has done a wonderful job and we are looking forward to the next mega event in Mumbai.”

– Nadeem Siddiqui, CEO-Altret Industries Pvt Ltd
(Exhibitor)

“Being the world’s 2nd largest manufacturer of both the Nylon 6 Tyre Cord as well as the belting fabrics, SRF group is keen to upgrade the cleaning technology at its premises. Looking for vacuum cleaners, scrubber driers and other equipment, we have identified some machines and have asked the exhibitors for the product demonstrations. We look forward to it. Thanks to the Clean India Team for organizing such a grand Show in Indore! We would like to see many more in coming years!”

– Manish Kumar Srivastava,
DGM-HR & Admin, SRF Group (Visitor)

“Cleanliness & hygiene  is a necessity today. It is not to be meant for tier-I cities only. I appreciate the efforts made by the organisers in spreading awareness across the country. As the President of Healthcare Research Foundation, I would like to collaborate with Clean India team and take it further.”

 – Dr. Shakti Kumar Gupta, Medical
Superintendent-AIIMS (Visitor)

Inauguration

Opening up the vast mechanised cleaning market in North-Central India which accounts for 30% of the country’s cement plants, 23% of large automobile plants and 16% of auto-ancillary units, the 12th edition of Clean India Show, Indore, (April 16 & 17) provided the first-ever platform to the local distributers, service providers and consumers to come together with global/pan India manufacturers and service operators.

The Show was inaugurated by Shankar Lalwani, Chairman-Indore Development Authority, in the midst of several celebrated industry professionals who graced the occasion with their presence at Brilliant Convention Centre.

Addressing the press, Jayaraman Nair, Chairman-Virtual Info Systems Private Limited, said “We started this Show 10 years ago in 2005, and today we are extremely delighted to be in Central India. The industries here are in urgent need of latest eco-friendly cleaning equipment, consumables and tools. And, through this Show, efforts have been made to provide the most cost-effective & scientific solutions that could suit the local requirements.”

Besides numerous new launches specifically for the NC region, the Show also witnessed the launch of new training Institute – Institute of Cleaning Sciences and Management. The exhibition catered to around 80 exhibitors who displayed over 500 solutions in an area of 1,500sqmt.

“There is a clear pause in terms of cleanliness & hygiene standards. Be it at home or workplace, people irrespective of their education are not aware of the kind of attention which needs to be given to cleaning. Taking forward the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Show has not only tried to bridge the much existing gap, but also successfully addressed the local cleaning, hygiene, waste and pest management requirements,” said Lalwani while addressing the press.

Ajay Singh Naruka, Speaker-Indore MunicipalCorporation & Member of Mayor-in-Council (MiC) of Krishanmurari Moghe council who was also present during the inauguration ceremony said, “The Show is very fruitful. Indore Municipal Corporation has already initiated a number of activities to keep the city clean. The Show will help enhance the quality and quantity of those activities effectively. And, people will notice the efforts.” Talking about the solutions available for masses, he said, “There are washroom and hand hygiene solutions that will benefit each and every person of the society.”
