Mumbai’s Dawoodi Bohra community is sending out prayers that are green in nature! The community plans to return to nature what they got from it by constructing a mosque that features eco-friendly facilities. Focusing on rainwater harvesting and reducing the use of electricity, the structure will have double layered walls for air movement, a bore-well to increase groundwater levels, green lawns for bringing down the temperature inside the mosque and Fatimi architecture inspired by Mughal, India and British architecture to add to the aesthetic look of the mosque.
