Eco Recycling Ltd, Mumbai was conferred the New Ventures India award for 2008 in the Business Plan Competition by the CII – Godrej Green Building Congress. The award was for its environment friendly solution for end of life Electrical & Electronic Equipment Recycling. According to B K Soni, Chairman, Eco Recycling Limited, India generates close to 500,000 tons of e-waste per annum and the same has a tendency to increase in direct proportion to the growing demand of computers and telecommunication equipment. These hazardous equipment need special attention and expert to deal with to save precious environment and valuable commodities.
