The Chennai Metrowater is all set to introduce an automated inline water quality monitoring system to constantly check the quality of water supplied to the residents. These monitoring devices will be fixed at 50 spots across the city. Three parameters – turbidity, residual chlorine and PH levels will be monitored at regular intervals during the day. The sensors in the device will transmit the data onto a yet to be setup central control room.
