The general response from the exhibitors has been that the Clean India Show at Hyderabad has superseded the previous shows.

Crowd gathered to watch product demos

Clean India Journal spoke to exhibitors to capture the proceedings of the Show, impact on the business, demand of products and the kind of visitors that sourced cleaning products. While the Show has been a great success for exhibitors, the venue and place too worked in conducive of the exhibitors. Maximum exhibitors confirmed that there were very good representations from almost all major segments at the show.

One of the common trends that is experienced with all the Clean India shows is the expansion of cleaning business. Most of the exhibitors following the shows, especially in tier-II cities have successfully set up distributor network or opened regional offices to meet the local demand.

In terms of products itself, customers demand for low priced products with a longer warranty period. Quality and cost are the two market drivers even today. Clean India will be putting in efforts to bring in a section of spare parts at the next show.

While most of them in the cleaning industry address the Clean India shows being organized in tier-II cities as regional shows, the Hyderabad show has negated this view once again. Exhibitors were once again surprised to meet with industrial visitors and distributors from North India also. The potential of the cleaning market is big and Clean India Show creates the awareness drawing visitors to the show.

The presence of facility management companies, the main buyers of cleaning products, was much more pronounced at Hyderabad. Some of the big players present at the show were JLL, Knight Frank, CBRE, ISS, A2Z, G4S, OCS, Sodexo, Updater today. Clean India will be putting in efforts to bring in a section of spare parts at the next show.

Clean-india-show[box type=”shadow” ]‘Our aim was to meet new customers, re-emphasize our brand value to our existing customers, explore product demands and to meet senior mentors in the manufacturing segment, which were well met at the Show.

The Clean India Show is the only platform for the cleaning industry to exhibit. Being a part of it creates a buzz and has fortified our core beliefs regarding this Show.’ ‘

This show is the right forum for people marketing their cleaning products, tools, machines and equipment. We made our targets at the show.’ ‘

The Clean India Show is a community and a gateway for each trader in this business. It enables us to meet and interact with other B2B manufacturers, traders in the industry and FM companies.’[/box]

It is generally voiced that the Swachh Bharat movement has increased the awareness levels of professional cleaning. Having visitors, distributors and channel partners from tier-II cities was a positive factor for the exhibition.

While most of them in the cleaning industry address the Clean India shows being organized in tier-II cities as regional shows, the Hyderabad show has negated this view once again. Exhibitors were once again surprised to meet with industrial visitors and distributors from North India also. The presence of facility management companies, the main buyers of cleaning products, was much more pronounced at Hyderabad. Some of the big players present at the show were JLL, Knight Frank, CBRE, ISS, A2Z, G4S, OCS, Sodexo, Updater Services and Forbes Facility besides several regional and pan-India service providers. Most of the exhibitors that have confirmed their participation in CTW 2018 are wanting to take bigger space and also launch new products in keeping with the demand experienced at the show.

‘Clean India Show at Hyderabad was a vehicle to enter the South Indian market. Cleaning is a growing industry and customers need to be groomed slowly to the available technologies and growth in the market. The propagation happens only through Clean India shows. This show is the right platform to differentiate product variety that is reciprocal of market demands.’

Highlights of the products on display

Cleaning-machinesCleaning machines with switching facilities: A single washroom may require a minimum of two to three machines for cleaning and a single room with both hard surface and carpeted area may require two different machines to clean the floor. Machines have evolved to include switch options to do the work of two or three machines in one. (carpet and hard floor scrubber dryer and foaming+high pressure+vacuuming)

Efficient Batteries: The average time for batteries earlier used to be eight hours for two to three hours of machine running time. However, over the years it has been improvised enabling more run time. New machines on display have quick battery charging facility of two to three hours and a higher run time.

Light Weight: Cleaning machines especially scrubber dryers, vacuums and other floor cleaning machines and also backpack machines are heavy. Light weight versions are being introduced at the show.

Use of Ozone Technology: Water by itself turns into a cleaning agent in the case of ozone technology. Hence reducing the use of chemical agents.

Nano coatings: Surfaces can remain clean and hygienic for a period of time when coated with nano based solutions. Nano technology does not allow any particles or bacteria to settle on the surface.

Made in India: Right from wringer trolley to multi-surface cleaning squeegees made indigenously by Indian companies will be on display.

Similarly, indigenously manufactured vehicle wash system, floor polishing machine, car wash system…

Energy & Water Efficient systems: Cleaning machines and laundry machines that consume less energy, less water and recycle water within the system are being introduced at the show. Further, machines with facility to store more water within the system reduces refilling pressure during the cleaning process.

Steam: Use of hot water and steam in the cleaning and washing processes reduces the need for more running, cleaning and washing time. Machines with cold and hot water options are being introduced at the show.

Chemicals: More concentrates and more multi-purpose chemicals are being introduced to simplify processes.

Washroom hygiene: We had more than 15 exhibitors with multiple hygienic and unique solutions like auto toilet seat cleaner.
